ymcaDecember 2: GRATITUDE
Now that the family has had a membership to the YMCA for almost a full season I am able to step back and see how much it has helped us. W has scheduled activities there three times a week. In addition to that we’ve had extra family fun moments like a Halloween party and family swim time.

One of the things I sincerely appreciate about it is how easy it makes trying new things. I have no idea what kind of activities or sports W might love or excel at, neither does he. Tossing him into a super competitive league of any kind would have been a disaster. Instead he has eased into things and found his bliss. He loves (LOVES) soccer and after the holidays he and my mom will take a karate class together.

What I have been failing to do is find my momentum at the Y. There is free childcare so there is NO excuse for me not to work out. I’ve got to make this a priority, and soon. (I’m saying this out loud so I can nag myself.)
