The news is not good. Cancer. It began in the spleen and has traveled to the lungs and probably beyond. He has changed so much in just a few short weeks. What we originally thought was a natural slowing down because of age is now, very obviously, connected to this cancer. And of course once the diagnosis comes in so many other things click into place and make sense. And I hate myself for not realizing sooner, but I also know there was really nothing I could have down to stop this or slow it down.

We are frozen, waiting for the Vet to call with blood work and to guide us through.
