Sometimes I get beyond blah when it comes to coming up with themes for photo friday. This week I decided to pawn it off, beg, give the honor to Molly over at McPolish.  I am so glad that she agreed to come up with a theme for us. So glad that I will most likely try to find a sucker lucky lady to select a theme for us next week as well.
Since I found it to be so charming I have decided to share her theme e-mail to me with you:

Since I loved the Night theme so much, I started thinking about day parts, obviously morning and afternoon. But since I’m not a morning person, I discounted that one. I do like afternoon, but that seemed a bit, hmm, blah. But I didn’t throw out the idea completely, and as I mulled over afternoon, and as it was late afternoon  by this point and we were sitting on the roofdeck as I continued to mull this over which happens to be one of my favorite times of day, because it is just so very delightful, the theme became obvious:

Afternoon Delight.

(hehehehehehehehe am totally giggling to myself right now.)

Did you catch that? The theme? It’s AFTERNOON DELIGHT.

To further stimulate your photog senses here, in all of its glory, are the lyrics to

The Starland Vocal Band’s Afternoon Delight:

Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight
gonna grab some afternoon delight.
My motto’s always been; when it’s right, it’s right.
Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night.
When everything’s a little clearer in the light of day.
And you know the night is always gonna be there any way.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Thinkin’ of you’s workin’ up my appetite
looking forward to a little afternoon delight.
Rubbin’ sticks and stones together makes the sparks ingite
and the thought of rubbin’ you is getting so exciting.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Started out this morning feeling so polite
I always though a fish could not be caught who wouldn’t bite
But you’ve got some bait a waitin’ and I think I might try nibbling
a little afternoon delight.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Please be waiting for me baby when I come around.
We could make a lot of lovin’ ‘for the sun goes down.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Now I don’t know about you guys with your fancy wives and husbands or boyfriends and girlfriends. But as a single lady my afternoon delight usually involves food. So I am looking forward to seeing how everyone else interprets this one…heh
