My Goal for 2013: Read more blogs

I am not sure how it happened, but somehow I stopped reading blogs everyday. I miss it. I went to my blog feed reader this weekend and it was a disaster. SO MANY blogs are gone. As in the final chapters were written and the writers had moved on or stopped blogging. I felt so sad.

My goal for 2013 is to get reconnected more regularly with bloggers. Read more. Comment more. Be more involved. I miss the community and the knowledge base.

The problem is that I need to start over. I need to gather a list. Start from scratch. This is where you come in. If you blog will you add your URL to the Connected List?

If you have added your URL you can grab this button to keep you connected to other bloggers.

There are so many fantastic things happening out there in the blogworld and I can not wait to dive back in.

Love this idea. I can’t tell you how often I remember a blog I really loved and I go to the site and it’s gone :( Added my blog to the list and your button to my site.

I was just thinking the same thing this week. Wouldn’t it be great to have time to read everything we wanted to read? I especially love reading about people who have very different lives than mine. My blog is http://www.HeartWorkOrg.com, where I offer organizing and decorating strategies for everyone. January is jam packed with tips, tweets, and giveaways. Have a great year!

Fantastic idea! I was thinking of doing this myself. Last month I had started to go through my roll and stopped after finding so many bloggers had stopped writing and discovered one had actually died. It all broke my heart. I’m ready to join you in this quest next year!!!

I just blew up my blog reader because I couldn’t keep up. I don’t know if I’ve lost interest or if I’ve lost interest in blogs that used to be slice-of-life but now only do sponsored posts and giveaways. I’m not finding many that I enjoy anymore, which is kind of depressing.

Hmm. Kind of want to add mine to your list… But then I think I would need to improve my blog game to do so. I did well during NoBloPoMo…. Maybe better because Dresden might read is the motivation I need.

Great idea. I have a blog list of about 70 blogs that I keep up with (of which you are one). I don’t read everything each one posts but enough to keep up with their lives. There are about 10 dead blogs on the bottom of the list that I hope will be revived but I really should do a cull for the new year. Happy New Year to you and your family xxx.

Love this idea Dresden! I have been trying to start my day every sit down at the computer by reading at least three posts on different blogs. Trying to do better.

I don’t blog a lot these days but I do blog some. I’m better at reading but not always at commenting as most reading is either done on my phone or iPad and depending on the blog it’s sometimes difficult to comment. Especially with the word verification.

My goal is to pick up blogging again. Life is just so chaotic, but I miss keeping track of the life moments. I’ll let you know when I do.

I have been blogging, but it has been erratic and unfocused. I suspect I will find a focus as 2013 gears up…

Thanks so much for the opportunity to connect with new bloggers!

Great idea! I added my blog to the list. I went from dating diva to married lady to older mom in the blink of an eye. My blog, Musings on Motherhood and Mid-Life depicts my transformative journey through motherhood and marriage.

I’m at the point where half of what is in my reader needs to not be there any more. I miss 2007 blogging. Where people really spoke. Where you could go and hear their voice, not the voice of those who pay them. I plan on getting back to blogging and reading in 2013, so I added my name to the list. Not that I didn’t post last year, but this year I’d like to do it more.
