Thank Goodness for Gift Guides

This year it seems like there are gift guides popping up everywhere. To this I say: THANK YOU.

I am the gal that fast forwards through every commercial, quickly flips by the ads in a magazine, and listens to public radio in large part to avoid the stuff in between songs. This means that I miss out on a LOT of trends. (why yes I DID just have to google “gangnam style”.) When someone puts time into making a thoughtful gift guide I feel lucky.

BlogHer is bursting at the seems with jam packed gift guides this year. So many scenarios – they have considered it and presented a tasteful collection.

Rita created the #GivingTuesday gift guide which I thought was brilliant. Within her guide I found out about sponsoring an international businesswoman through Women for Women International.

Jenna has a great gift guide for teachers. I am totally stumped this year so I was relieved to see this gem: “Check Out the Teacher’s Wish List on Scholastic”. oooooooh! Perfect!

The Perfect Guide for the crafter gave me some good ideas of an unusual gift for my Mom who has really been doing amazing art on her iPad. I had no idea that so many artists are offering online classes right now.

Disclosure: This post is part of BlogHer’s Holiday Gift Guides editorial series, sponsored by Open Road Media.
