There is very well documented bitching on my site about the lack of cute (& cheap) shoes for ladies with big feet. Oh if only I could find adorable flats at Target for under $20. If only I could find anything in my size at any store! Yadda, yadda, yadda.
But I think today’s photo might give you a wee glimpse of the kind of shoe hell that I live in. The photo that I am sharing with you today is a photo of my walking shoes. Meaning when I want to go for a walk this is what I wear. (I don’t know why, but I felt compelled to clear that up.) Actually if you type in my shoe size in any site that carries shoes up to my size 90% of the shoes will be “walking shoes”. And yes, they all look like something Frankenstein might wear.

Just be glad it’s not 50 years ago. Then you REALLY wouldn’t be able to find shoes.
I am thankful every day that I didn’t get my mother’s size 11s. Mine are only 9s. I’m sorry for your size 13 shoe-finding pain.
Fellow big foot here. Although I usually buy a size 11, which can be found in some stores on a good day.

This was another tough theme for me to narrow down…what to choose, which SHOES?!? to CHOOSE?!? But if this is the worst of my dilemmas, I’ll take it.

Cody has the same problem with shoes – but, he is a male and doesn’t require as many varieties as we, women do. Not fair.
But, I do have to say, I am digging those walking shoes.

Ha! I remembered AND posted this week. Score one for me!
I was wondering if you used Zappo’s. With the free 24 hour shipping both ways and the huge amount of shoes in women’s 13 (2449 last I checked) it would be way easier to find choice. I also think Birkenstock’s are some of the best walking shoes around and most are unisex so the size would not be an issue. Just a thought.
I finally got my act together and linked my shoes. Don’t hate me, they are cute!
Size 5.5. is about as difficult to find, my friend. Posting mine tomorrow (I had surgery thursday am so I havent really been back on line.
