Right now. Right this very moment, look down and tell me what is on your feet. And don’t just say “shoes”. Tell me about them. Tell me the color, the material, how they fit, how they make you feel, how much or how little they cost, how great they make your ass look.
I don’t have a shoe fetish. Seriously. I swear. I just have HUGE feet. Giant feet. I’ve played this card before, but in case you need reminding, my feet are bigger than yours.
But I am curious what everyone is shod in right this very moment on this beautiful hump day. Why?? Because the (totally tardy) theme for this week’s photo friday is SHOES!
Now look down and tell me what’s happening below your ankles. Fill out the poll and give me details in the comments and I will do my best to not pass out from envy.
EDITED TO ADD: Can not believe that I neglected my favorite shoe group: sneakers. Now added to the poll. My apologies to fellow chuck gals.

I wore brown sandals to work today but they are on the floor. My feet are bare in my chair. I like to sit barefoot & cross-legged at my desk.
I am wearing my very cute black patent croc 1.5″ heel loafer/pumps with the strap and buckle across the top. They have white stitching, and they look very cute with my jeans. They’re comfy, too! But I have my flip-flops in the car for my after-work activities.
OK, I’ve got on my sneakers…white adidas w/ light blue stripes. They’re a mesh material, comfy, but they do get soggy if I wear them in the rain. They make me feel…I don’t know…I don’t think about them at all when I wear them, so that tells you something, I guess. I got them for $40, on sale, and as for my ass? No change, really.
My feet are the largest of the women in my family, but I remain a relatively-easy-to-find size 10. I know that I’m lucky they’re not bigger.
PS You’re not as tardy as you think–it’s still only Tuesday!
Don’t be silly, I can’t be bothered to put on SHOES! Bare feet, of course. Anyway, I don’t wear shoes on purpose. (When I am home, anyway.) All the way through middle school, high school, college, and working, I had a terribly bad back. I quit working and ta da! My back problems went away. I have traced it back to wearing shoes and sitting all the time. So now I am barefoot and never sit down and I have a pain free back.
I’m an “other” in the poll. I am wearing my wonderful, totally comfortable, and madly cute black Born mary janes with the asymetrical strap. They are my most comfortable shoes and they manage to be cute as well.
I’m wearing Tommy HIlfiger pink and orange flip flops… and my awesome personally designed henna look a like tattoo sticks out from under the fabric which makes my feet look totally hot!
Flat black Clarks (of England). I love me some European shoes.
chuck taylors. red, baby.
classic for a reason.
where’s sneakers? And mine are yucky ones at that.
Birkenstocks. It’s summer and those are my slippers. As simple as that. Plus they are comfy.
Id go barefoot all the time if I could
I’m taking a break from my Work Shoe Strike to wear my actually really cute really comfy sandals (that happen to be work appropriate). They’re black leather borns with a slight chunk on the bottom, maybe half an inch in the front, an inch in the back? But not heavy in the least. The bottoms are so cushy to walk on, and the leather wraps around the top of the foot, with a forward loop to go around your big toe. I thought that would drive me nuts, and it did for a little while, but I got used to it. And now they’re my FAVORITES. I couldn’t find one last summer for the whole summer, and I was really sad, but in a recent clean, I found it, and I’m now back to wearing them.
Best part: got them at a tj maxx or something like that for maybe $25? $30 tops? and they usually have them in larger sizes… though I’m not sure up to yours.
I’m a barefoot girl most of the time. The rest of the time are soft, comfy black flip flops or brown slide on Mudd shoes that have a slight ballet look to them. Winter is usually sneakers.
Usually, I wouldn’t have shoes on right now but I never took my shoes off after taking Joey to school this morning. My black slip on sandals are relaxed and comfy but have sadly seen better days. I’m loathe to give them up because my Grandma gave them to me.
I have the best pair of Italian leather slip on sandals on right now. They are a medium brown and have a really cute 1 inch wedge, and the best part is I got them at a thrift shop for $5 about 7 years ago!
I am wearing Crocs Cleo in Chocolate/Cotton Candy. These:http://www.crocs.com/crocs-cleo/10043,default,pd.html?cid=073&cgid=women-footwear&adid=google_ppc_0_Footwear-Womens_Cleo&gclid=CLuvu-X0kKICFUJx5QodYGFtaw
I wear Crocs and only Crocs, unless I am at the gym, but then I wear these, which are as close to Crocs as tennis shoes can get!:

I am a shoe misfit.
Ooh, I’m so glad you asked, because I happen to be wearing new shoes! They’re Tsubo’s, black flats, mary jane inspired but with zig zaggy straps. The toe is very round and they feel like ballet slippers, causeing me to dance and prance along the halls at work. They are my new work shoes as my skechers died after 3 good years. I snagged them at DSW for $50.
I am wearing shiny pointy toed black flats (I’m 5’9″ so I rarely wear heels) and I love them! And you’ll never believe where I got them — they are from T*rget and are made of plastic and they cost like $15 but they’re super comfortable and look almost like Sigers*n Morrison knock-offs. I think they still sell them at T*rget in a bunch of diff colors (actually they used to have them in red plaid!) so everyone should head on over and buy some.
If I am not going somewhere, there’s nothing on my feet. And if I am, it’s probably flip flops.
I wear a 10.5 in women’s or 8.5 in men’s shoes. Right now I am at work which is business casual so I am sporting my brown leather skecher shoes that kind of look like sneakers… you know the ones I mean!!!
I must’ve sent you some telepathic message about shoes for this week’s theme. I’ve been meaning to start a photo collection using my shoe collection. I think I blogged about it long not ago, and I was going to start this week! Now you and this week’s challenge can be my jumpstart. I have high heels on. I’m at work, and instead of grabbing the wedge I’ve been using for a couple of weeks now, I grabbed these. They’re black, shiny, open toe, t-strap heels. They feel fab and are comfy at work, not so much for a LONG night out.
My shoes are Cole Haan black work sandals. They have a Nike Air thing in the heel and are totally flat so they are super comfortable (pretty much all I will tolerate). The top is a woven black patent leather pattern the doesn’t go through any toes, just goes over the top, instep of the foot. I dig these sandals…they make me look like I’m trying WAY harder than I actually am.
Oh and damn…I really need to re-paint my toes…
If I am in my house – generally I have nothing on my feet. I don’t wear shoes in the house often, Just out of habit.
Since the dress code at my new place of employment is quite lax, I usually wear flip flops to work. As soon as I set foot in my cube, I kick the shoes off and spend the majority of the day plodding around naked footed (unless I use the bathroom. Yeeuck).
Summer + Texas has always meant free feet for me. Running around barefoot, like sweet tea, pecan pie and peaches, is one of the few things about being Southern that is so firmly ingrained in my blood it won’t go away, even when it’s 22 degrees outside. About 3 years ago it froze really bad here in Texas and, rather than putting on socks and shoes, I skipped out onto the frozen walkway and snapped about 30 pictures before I realized my feet were bare and blue. I went barefoot both stays in Europe, even though one stay had us in a chilly spell during November in Germany. Both Fil and Monster wear socks continuously and I can’t stand it. My feet, they must be free!
If you really want to know, I wore my old, grungy pair of Converse flip flops (men’s size 10 or 11). One of them is a slightly paler shade of navy green because I left it face up in the hot Texas sun for over an hour. They have permenant marks where my feet have worn away the fibers of the cloth and the sole is flimsy. Those shoes are loved. But not enough to wear when bare feet are an option.
Nothing?! How can people wear nothing? I’m at work, so shoes are a must. And I personally don’t feel dressed in the morning if I don’t have shoes on. Even flip-flops or something. I like shoes, but only those that are comfy. Arch support is a must along with comfort. Cute shoes are alright as long as they feel good.
3.5 inch black heels with kind of straps that criss-cross over each other to form a peep to. They are my go-to work shoe in the summer. My toes are unpolished and slightly stained pink on the nails from my last pedicure. They look awful, and I really need to repaint them. There are healing welts/blisters on the sides of the tops of my feet from where my flip flops cut into the skin when I was breaking them in – one of my summer rituals. They should heal completely by August. I hope.
God, I love shoes. I love them! My only problem is my feet? Not to be gross? But they sweat like the dickens. Which sometimes makes wearing shoes uncomfortable because my feet slide around. So often, were you to look under the desk or under the table, you’ll see me, barefoot, one or both shoes dangling off a toe or on its side on the floor.
Also, I’m in love with this photo theme already.
I am so not a shoe person! One of the first things I do when I come home is take off whatever’s on my feet, I just love being barefooted.
But when I leave the house, I will probably throw on green flip-flops. I am a huge lover of shoes and I actually get to buy a pair for myself (from my parents) for my birthday. So if you want to go shoe shopping…
Nothing exciting–I’m just looking for black Merrill-like shoes.
I have on healed, ankle boots with zipper on the inside of the leg and cute, very 1800s buttons on the “outside” of the leg (they look like you need a button hook!).
I do not have a shoe fetish, in fact, I wish I did, but I do not. I own a good pair of running shoes, these ankle boots, tall boots, a pair of flip slops, open toed and closed-toed heels for work in black, and two other pairs of heels that I cannot recall right now. Quite the meager showing for a woman.
FTR, it is very difficult to find anything adult-like in size 5.5.
I’ve been going through a ballet flats phase for about a year. The only problem is they are not providing enough support for my heels.
I have on size 11 black strappy sandals with 3″ heels. The are fairly comfortable – for high heels, that is. I love to wear heels, they just make me feel sexy, and so long as I avoid the pointy-toed varieties, I think they make my feet look not quite so big.
I know this is completely off subject but I was looking for pjs for my lil man and ran across this and thought of your lil man http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/clearance/kids1/toddlerboys/PRD~579415/Carters+3pc+Superhero+Pajama+Set.jsp
I’m at work and have on my red flats. The colour is a very warm red, almost with a hint of pinky crimson. They are made of very soft leather and have a strap across the foot, with a buckle. There is some swirly cream stitching across the front and sides. They are totally flat heeled, and wide enough to fit my inserts. These are my most comfortable shoes other than my ASIC runners (which I only walk in not run!). My ankles are wide and a little swollen. The shoes don’t make my butt look any fatter than it is, but they certainly don’t make it look smaller! High heels may make the legs look longer but I can’t wear them at all (bung knees and hips, and flat wide feet).
im wearing my skater shows they are brown pink and white
I actually love them , they are comfy except when i work to long cleaning houses and then my stupid feet sweat : / and it makes me feel all icky and i have to powder them
I’m wearing incredibly comfy Airwalk skater shoes. They have a funky hippie floral pattern on black canvas. They’re size 9, and they fit like a dream, which I love because I usually fall between an 8.5 and a 9. (It’s odd–I’m the tallest woman in my family, but I have the smallest feet. It really makes my 5’4″ size 12-shod cousins angry sometimes!) I got them on clearance for $5 the day before I graduated from college. These shoes make me happy every single time I wear them, and I won’t give them up until they fall apart.
Barefoot and at work with my feet up at my desk. And there are visitors in from the corporate office, and I could care less. I’m sure they’re mortified.
Black strappy work sandals. After not being able to find ANY for the last two years, I got these for $15! A steal when you think that I wear them AT LEAST 3x/week. In fact, the deal was so good that I got them in silver, gold, and white too!
I am happily barefoot with newly painted pink toenails. I am almost always barefoot – I believe someone up in the previous comments said it’s one of the super lovely things completely ingrained into your psyche as a southern girl. I couldn’t agree more. If I MUST wear shoes I wear my gray, red, and blue argyle Rocket Dog sneakers, or my distentigrating black chucks that I have had since 1995 – seriously, you have no idea how rank they are, but I CANNOT give them up. If I just have to go out but don’t have to have covered feet, I wear my black flip flops. And when I work on the farm I wear my custom painted pink wellies….. Oh how I love them. I think it would be safe to say I have a shoe fetish, however, I’m poor, and therefor can’t indulge as much as I want to, or really at all. I do get one pair of high heels a year, and then wear them roughly twice… but damn they are cute!
Love the subject – and YOU!
I have pretty big feet (Sz. 10) but what is even worse is that they are wide, so all of those cute strappy things…yeah no. My feet just laugh and I hang my head in shame.
Right now I have a pair of black suede Steve Madden flats. They are pretty basic but on the top , front they have a flower with a gold button. They are dressy without killing my swollen feet!
These!

Bare feet over here! I do love some flip flops though, definitely my favorite!
Yes, I do think we live close by one another. Once I get my life back (my current work contract ends in 12 days (not that I’m counting or anything) and then I will be able to properly enjoy life again… including reading blogs, visiting friends, acting like a normal human. We’ll definitely have to chat and hopefully connect
Hmm lets see….it’s winter here and I’m Australian so what else would I be wearing but UGG BOOTS!!!
Lovely, warm, comfy, snug ugg boots….this is my first ever pair (and I’m 31 I’m so ashamed of myself!) and I’m already planning on buying my second pair to take to England with me later this year!
Though normally I’m barefoot, even when we go places in Summer unless I HAVE to wear shoes, I don’t.
Black socks. With holes.
Also, I’ve been in them for 36 hours. I loathe nightshift!
