This week’s theme was black and white photography- something that is a personal favorite of mine. I love gritty, raw, down and dirty shots. But I also love black and white photos that make your brain translate for you. For example I shot strawberries for this week’s theme. We know that strawberries are red. So taking the red away, does it make the strawberry any less, well, itself?

Love the silhouette! And bokeh just makes me heart feel light.
I know, I’m so cheesy. But the first shot reminds me of a 50s era picture or tv show. Love these!

Pretty amazing the effect that lack of color has on strawberries. Very nice shots.
I like both photos but I really LOVE the first shot of the strawberries.
Okay lovely – I participated….. I really like the strawberries in black and white. I don’t think it makes them any “less them”, in fact it makes you work harder to see the red. I like it. Love you!!
No offense to you in any way, but strawberries should always be red! They don’t look right at all! However, the second picture is frame worthy!

My brain keeps making the first shot of the strawberries red. What a great photo. OK, now I have to go have more strawberries (one of my cravings!)
With the hundred million photos I’m taking lately, I may just have to start participating in Photo Friday. But maybe I’ll do a combo theme… your theme + D. Ie. D in a bathroom, D in black and white, D in ….

But your shots are inspiring me to branch out a little again.
I was in a shitty place last week, and didn’t participate. Which sucks, b/c I adore black and white. Maybe I will combine a bit for this week’s theme….
