(It should be noted that I am writing this as I listen to c-span cover the health care summit on my lap top. So if I suddenly go bananas, well that is why.)
So I have some delicious socks on my feet right now from my sock it to me buddy, Kristin. Now here is where Kristin shames us all (and by “all” I mean those of us that just schelpt to a store to select pretty little socks for our buddies)- she MADE these socks. Like with her hands and yarn and needles and time.
I have a thing about hand made gifts. I feel like they hold special residue on them. An aura of love and care. When my friends made me a quilt to help me through the unpregnancy and to celebrate the arrival of a healthy W I literally could feel electricity of love on every fiber. And when GM needed some extra special love I wrapped her in the quilt and I know that she felt the charge.
So these beautiful hand made socks just make me feel soooooo special and loved. And the colors!! Oh my, the colors!
These are totally tree porn colors on SOCKS!!
And without saying too much, I do believe the color blue used in these comfy striped socks was specifically selected for me. LOVE them.

Wow, those are awesome! I really really need to learn how to knit. My mom made me an afghan when I went away to college and to this day I still feel like she is hugging me when I wrap it around myself.
