I work for an insurance company, and yeah. Big convoluted massive institution with inefficient rules.
When I was a caseworker, it was much of the same. I once took a client to the dental clinic to have all of his (rotten) teeth removed- and because of idiotic paperwork and waiting it took 6 months to get dentures.

that stupid fbook scam happened to my hub too — exact same creepy thing. some a-hols logged on as him and starting “chatting” up his friends live.

Don’t worry about the FB thing – The same thing happened to two of my friends (same scenerio and everything) and after a week or two FB contacted them and their account was visible and active again! Craziness! I hope that happens for you as well!!

1) How awesome you got to meet JJ & the O man…have followed her for a long time!

2) I hear you on the baby thing-only I have wanted to be pregnant again since Adam was like 2 months old and my age (45 in a few days) is against me, as well as my Hubby’s (soon to be 51)…

3) Kick some ass on that health care issue-this is SOOOOOOO ridiculous. Now I think you shouldn’t only call a news station…I think you should start a whole blog documenting all of your documentation and invite others to sound off on their red tape run around catasterfuck bullshit that they go through to get services that they are supposed to get…ESPECIALLY when it somes to babies!

4) I love the spaghetti photo-I’ve never given it to Adam because of the mess, but now I will have to. Unfortunately, he is a “picky” eater-not so much in what he eats, but the way it feels, so I don’t know if he’ll get adorably messy-he didn’t get jiggy with his birthday cake either!

5) Don’t lose hope, I’m telling you, good things are right around the corner!

Don’t worry about the vaccine schedule. They don’t get any at 9 months, only at 12, by which time hopefully the insurance situation will work itself out. Not that it’s any consolation, but I’m still fighting with BCBS over my hospital stay 10 months ago!

Have you thought about calling your state representative on the insurance issue? I work for an elected official and that is part of the job — helping your constituents navigate the pitfalls of government and stepping in as an advocate when things aren’t working like they should. I know you aren’t in a permament address but they don’t have to know that and it shouldn’t matter anyway. Worth a shot, maybe? If the agency is a state one, then call the state rep.

don’t you have your own live-in lawyer? can’t Mother make a well-worded phone call or two to the insurance people or to their management? isn’t there some watchdog org or advocacy org for this stuff?
