Ahoy! We have landed. After what felt like days and days of driving thanks to horrible weather and early sunsets we have, at last, arrived at a most comfortable, safe and cherished temporary haven. What a long strange trip it has been.

It really is a mind blow to realize that just a little over 2 weeks ago Mother and I looked at each other and admitted that if we did not take a leap that we would not survive much longer in Florida. So Thelma to a Louise or a Louise to a Thelma (we can never agree who should be who) we loaded up and headed out.

I will spare you all of the, “holy shit this is a long drive and oh my cripes it is raiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiining!!!!!” stories. You can imagine those episodes yourself because frankly, we don not want to relive it.  The headline is that we are safely here and that HERE is safe. Again I am not allowed to gush about Paz’s gift of shelter, but fuck it, she is awesome and we are incredibly lucky and blessed to be lifted up by her generosity.

Best Thanksgiving Day speech EVER.

W is adjusting as well as he pleases. Which is to say that there are pockets of adorable wrapped up in a giant sweater of cranky. Because guess who is now getting ANOTHER upstairs tooth?! Yup. Three total are working their way down and it is a droolfest of epic proportions.  Teething tablets and motrin , take us away…

Did I say I meant for this to be brief? oops. This is what happens when one can not succumb to the brilliance of So You Think You Can Dance. We have a wonderful internet connection here (WOO!) and hopefully I can watch tonight’s episode tomorrow.

Oh, and for those of you not connected to me via facebook, YES I did wear my plaid boots today. They fit perfectly and were clearly happy to see me again. See ya later flip-flop gators. heh

Now for your moment of cute. A photo or two of W from one of our last days in Florida and a photo of him today:

I had to laugh when I read that you finally wore your plaid boots! Since moving to Florida my butterfly docs have been sitting in my closet wishing that I would put then on. I look at them and then put on some flip flops because, its way to friggin hot to wear boots down here!
