I will do my best not to whine too much, but ugh!! Packing sucks. And packing within pockets of someone’s sleep sucks more. And someone NOT napping at all is the worst. Somehow it will all get done. Right???

While I was up all night bouncing a teething* W I reworked my blog. A bit more streamlined. A bit more plaid. It should allow me to have larger photos within posts. It is an incredibly fun theme to work with- so if anyone is a self hosted wordpress blogger you will dig suffusion. (& no I am not saying that for any other reason than it is the awesome)

It also has threaded comments. Which should be fun.

Speaking of fun- am doing possibly the last load of laundry before The Move. For some reason I am all about being aware of lasts. Not sure if it is reverb from GM’s death or something else, but pretty much every task I do has some sort of label attached: last time I will…

*and before I forget to ask- how long does it take for the upstairs teeth to land? W still gas just a bit of white pushed through the gums. His behavior is allllllll about teething: no naps, cranky, drool, drool side effects (if you know what I mean).

I’m typing this out on my phone so there are bound to be errors. Think I am flailing and flopping around like a jelly fish. Speaking of jelly fish, I wonder if we will have a chance to take W to the beach one more time.

Packing is the worst. I feel for you love. I thought of you last night as I picked up my first seasonal pack of Celestial Seasoning’s Candy Cane Lane tea:

    http://www.celestialseasonings.com/products/detail.html/special-occasion-teas/candy-cane-lane

It has that wonderful vanilla – peppermint flavor that hits the very same tooth that the Peppermint ice cream you turned me on to does. Try a cup and get a moment of rest when you can.

    xo

    Love the new layout! :)

I don’t know about the upstairs teeth, other than they suck. We’ve been getting them since like September or something stupid, and I can’t even see any whites yet.

Luck luck luck with the m-o-v-e!

    p.s. any word on the thing-further-west-in-a-town-that-starts-with-O?? :)

I like the new layout and the colours of your plaid – tartan to me, a true Scot ;)
although I do miss the little pic of you and WW

Okay, yep, best laid plans and all that…. I still have great difficulty in organising anything including packing around the sleep of my son. He is 5 and I still can’t do a single thing when he is up and around demanding my constant attention. So be warned, teach (train!) WW to be more self-sufficient in play than I have done with Mason.

Re the teeth I’m of no help as Mason was a very slow teether, with his first tooth appearing at 12 months. They all came through one by one very slowly but at least without too much pain.

Good luck with the teething, the packing, and emotionally surviving the “lasts”.

Sending you strength and hugs across the waters….

Packing SUCKS. Seriously, it has taken me months in the past. Argh, I hate packing. So very much. Did I mention how much it sucks? Because it really does.

In the meantime, I’ve got the song Happy Feet stuck in my head from the Muppet CD.

Elizabeth’s top teeth came in pretty quickly after the white bits showed through. I’ve got my fingers crossed that W’s are FAST. (Starting NOW.)

The new look is fantastic – granted I suck and only had a few weeks of reading on your old one, but STILL. Very nice!

    I’m digging the new colors.

Top teeth – they seem to take longer than the bottom ones. Eligh has about 4 more teeth (molars) coming in at once and Kinsley is content with her 8. Definitely shows you how different it is for all of them. Have you tried a wet washcloth? Some babies like holding one and sucking on it to help with teething. It may keep him entertained for a bit, so you can get more done.

I’m with you and the packing. I’m at a standstill until after Sunday’s open house – now that I’m freaking out about.

It looks good but I miss the cool photo/painting thing of you and W. Oh, get on the road you’ll be just in time for the last of the LEAF PEEPING Mwhahahahah.

love the new layout. no advice on teething, I had no idea it took teeth so long to pop out all the way and that the kiddos were cranky the whole time. Although our beaches are nothing like FL beaches once you all get settled you can head to rehoboth or ocean city for the weekend it is like a 2 hour drive but plenty of jelly fish there and it makes for a good get-a-way. Safe travels and good luck getting that packing finished.

Upstairs teeth take MUCH longer. I swear Z is teething constantly – still waiting on many teeth for her and I think she’s getting molars in. Oh and she’s SICK again.

As for packing it sucks but I think unpackings sucks worse honestly.

Packing truly does suck. It’s one of the many reasons I hate moving.

As for teething, it really varies from kid to kid. Eah child does it at their own pace.

  12. Yeah, Cale and I have pretty much decided that the next time we move we are selling everything we own and paring down and doing NO packing. Of course, that will never happen, I mean there is no way I could give up my trunk of crap I’ve had since since high school.
I really like the new layout, especially the thread ability. I too miss the picture of you and W, but I truly dig the colors!
As for the teething…. geez, I just don’t remember it all that well. I do remember giving him a cold wet washcloth tho for him to suck on. Feels so good on the gummies. I wish you guys sooooo much luck on the move, I hope it will go easily and not stress you guys beyond coping. I love you!

See and packing is the part I’ve always been really good at. It’s the unpacking that slows me down some. As in it takes me forever to find a spot for everything. I hope it all goes smoothly for you all. Love the new look.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could pack up and bring W to the land of sand… call it a short break before the REAL move? Oh how cool that would be… and yes, I know I am dreamin man! I LOVE the new layout too.
