Good things.

A pair of men are in my house fixing my air conditioner. Oh yes. Turns out the old unit was dead, dead, dead. As in “we don’t even make parts for that unit anymore” dead. But to get the new unit so many steps had to happen. Steps that, as renters of this house, we were not involved with. Which kind of sucked because we were living in the house with no air up there.

(oh and a few days ago Mother dragged the twin mattress out of GM’s old room and into W’s room and that was a bit more comfy for some reason. my back is still all kinds of sore and it has not been a picnic, but I guess it was like camping. heh)

So right now this team of guys is installing a BRAND NEW unit. And hopefully tonight W, Charlie the dog & I will be able to sleep in our own bed again. Happy!

I am also excited because my box of new cloth diapers just arrived and they are so damn cute. I wish bum genius had red diapers. I have a red thirsties cover that I use over a prefold and it is probably one of my favorite get ups. I think the red pants make W look like a super hero.

Speaking of being a super hero- we tried out W in something new. The guy went bananas with glee. Pure delight. We put books under his feet and a blanket behind him and W just gets his groove on. This morning he spent nearly 20 minutes in it laughing and swaying and jumping.

we can now jump

Have I mentioned that his laugh is totally snarky. He has a couple of them. One of them sounds like, “heh” but the best one is one that tumbles out of him from deep in his belly and sort of sounds like an old man looking at Benny Hill. The sound of W laughing is now in the top space on my list of best things in the world.

I also just watched 10 Things I Hate About You, a new tv show based on the movie that is based on a play and totally loved it. Also love the new abc Family show, Make it or Break it. Did NOT like the reality show with families in an RV. Also did not like NYC Prep- good night nurse did that show freak me out.

Am big time loving So You Think You Can Dance- but I think my favorites will be in the bottom tonight. Really I just want to be friends with Cat.

What’s good with you today?

YES! NYC Prep totally freaked me out. I’m scared for our future with those douchebags running the world.

I am addicted to So You Think You Can Dance.

I totally know that Cat and I would hit it off. And she has killer clothes that I could never wear, but I’m so JEALOUS that she’s so darn cute. lol

I *love* SYTYCD — in fact I’m watching it on my DVR right now. I even went to see their tour, for a previous season. :) Cat Deeley is awesome. I think DH has a crush on her. But I don’t mind, because so do I.

Yay A/C!
I have not really been watching much of anything. I feel bad because I keep getting texts from my friends that I used to watch SYTYCD with, wanting to gab about it and I’m like – uh, no idea who I liked tonight…

oh yeaz, another SYTYCD junkie! yes, i so love Cat and her crazy wardrobe that she picks out all by herself.

Sonya and Mia this year are competing for my girl-crush. and i have to finally admit that Lil’C makes my repressed English major self go all weak in the knees.

Random fact you may not know: 10 Thing I Hate About You is based on Taming of the Shrew.

Glad you are getting your AC fixed. I went a month without AC one summer and it sucked.

Aren’t those seats (we had an exersaucer) the best things in the world? My kids adored them. I know W is too young for it but my kids also loved the bouncer seats that hung in doorways.

Wil was a fanatic for the exersaucer!! Would’ve sit in it for hours, if i had let him, actually screamed when i would finally be like “ok we have to have some face time!” Glad you have AC now and also glad we have hada pretty mild summer so far, cuz we don’t ahve AC and do have a very shittily insulated house that basically acts as an oven! LOVE YOU!!!

that jumparoo is my guy’s very favorite contraption yet! he hated the swing, he’s bored by the exersaucer… but oh the jumparoo… it’s so sweet. we get a little downtime and he has so much fun. often we play music, bounce along with him and get him even more hyper!

How flippin’ cute is he in his Jumperoo!?! I just love to see bouncy, happy babies!

I didn’t realize that 10 Things I Hate about You was now a TV show! Apparently Frank did, because he looked at me like DUH! I’ve always enjoyed anything related to “The Taming of the Shrew.”

Our A/C busted the night before Father’s Day. It was hot as Hades in here, especially because I was slaving over the griddle making a ginormous stack of pancakes. Thankfully, someone was able to come out and fix it by noon that day. All I could think was, “Ain’t no way in hell I would have made it as a slave.” :o )

I want to be friends with Cat so I can borrow her wardrobe. The blue dress with the awesome beading that looks like necklace is AMAZING. (On her. On me, it would probably look like dookie).

And yeah for A/C.

Yeah for a/c! Hope you were back in your room with the bliss that is cold air on a hot night. Totally love the W pic – and baby giggles are one of most precious sounds in the world. What’s good with me? It’s Friday…only one week until vacation, I have flowers blooming, and I got to eat yummy Thai food yesterday.

Love SYTYCD. We went to their tour show a couple seasons ago when it was in Phoenix when BENJI won. So amazing to see ‘em dance live! Love me some Brandon, Melissa and Kayla. I think the gals are a little stronger this year.

I, too, would LOVE being friends w/Cat! She’s so tall, though, we’d be Mutt & Jeff! (I’m only 5’1″!)

They should make Jumperoos for adults! How fun would that be??

Hugs all round from AZ!

So You Think You Can Dance: Your favourite couples?

I love that show ohsomuch. Mary is my hero in so many ways. Heehee.

Also, 10 Things I Hate About You? Kinda cute, I’m pretty sure the actress who plays Kat (who happened to be on Nick’s show Ned’s Declassified) isn’t too used to playing a more grown up role. However, the girl playing Mandella? MY HERO!

So glad that your A/C will be working, and you will have a new one. What a relief!

We had that same jumperoo for all the kids. Each one of them loved it!

SYTYCD fan? Seems like there are a lot of us out there.
