The “birth story” will be written (& hopefully before I forget all the juicy bits) and shared in installments. Here are some highlights for ya’ll to marinate on while I catch my breath for a few days: pain meds are awesome when they work, anesthesiologists make good huggers and hand holders, some nurses are kick ass amazing, some are totally evil 3am “You must give your baby formula NOW” wenches, and if you have to go through a long ass birth experience you should so hire my Mother to come be by your side. She saved me a million and one times.
Bit of official blog business: You may have noticed that I have not typed Snork’s name into this post but rather created an image file with it. This is to prevent his name from being searched. You are totally welcome to comment about it but please use initials.
I am beyond zoinked, beyond in pain, beyond overwhelemed, but so in love my feet have not touched the ground. Having all of you by my side has meant the world. Thank you. I can not wait to share more!
WW was born at 1:47pm EDT on April 6, 2009. He came in at 8lbs 9oz and 21 inches long. (haven’t checked the baby pool yet!)

Good job, Mom! Love the name, too. So glad he’s here and healthy. I wish you a speedy recovery. I’m sure having that angel by your side helps! How’s the new Grandmother doing? I’m sure she’s over the moon, too! Love to all from AZ.

Hi is perfection…Congrats!!!
i meant he is perfect!.. you know what i mean
O…M…G!!! he is so gorgeous I can’t stand it. You do good work Cali. Huge congrats!
WW is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO adorable-congrats! Love the name, love his cute little feet…sorry you are feeling crappy, I know it sucks that you can barely hold him over your tummy to feed him. I promise, the first 2 weeks are the worst- it gets easier & less painful every day. Don’t overdo it when you start feeling the least bit better, I overdid it a couple of times and paid for it-let Grandma love on Snork & help him & you…my Mom did & it was the best!!
Wishing you all the best! What a little love bug he is!
He is just absolutely beautiful! I hope that Talullah is home safe and sound soon!
Welcome Whiitaker! GREAT job Cali – he is just too gorgeous for words.

This is getting creepy. Not only did we have the same due date, our boys were born the same day at almost the same time (mine was 1:59 pm) and almost the same weight (mine was 8 lbs 8 oz) and length (mine was 20.5″).
I’m officially spooked now.
Belated congrats on the arrival of WW!
