1) Double check, triple check that bag is ready to go
2) shower well
3) eat 2 bowls of generic captain crunch (with berries!)
4) visit GM
5) Get GM to talk to Snork and tell him to come out. Laugh when GM puts her hand on gut and shouts, “Mind your Mother!”
6) Walk up and down every aisle at grocery store
7) Decide that the ingredients for burritos MUST BE PURCHASED
(also celebrate that as you drool in the bakery section a deli worker informs you that there is red velvet cake on sale- as in 80% off what it should be)
8 ) squeal when Mother surprises you by dropping your large ass (& even larger cankles) off at a fancy pedicure spa place
9) squeal even more when Mother informs you that she will be going home to PUT UP the groceries!
10) Celebrate that while your pedicure technician does not understand much of what you are telling her she DOES get that you want her help in nudging labor
And while there isn’t any detectable progress to speak of, thank the Universe to have actually lived a life that includes something as fucking HUGE as a baby’s due date.

Oh lordy, I have a dirty mind. I was thinking that you and the pedicure technician were gonna do the, ya know, to get labor started.
Sounds like you are being pampered appropriately!
Sarah
Sarah! heh. I just meant she got that I wanted her to really rub my feet.
Happy day!
What an awesome day! Are you the only person in the world that can eat Capt. Crunch and not tear up the roof of your mouth?
The GM moment is priceless!
11) Go in to labor so that Jen can win the baby pool. IT WOULD ONLY BE FAIR, YOU GOT TO WIN MINE.
your ticker looks so lovely today.
i may go back and gaze a bit longer.
Have you considered riding a roller coaster? My mom did that when I was overdue and it worked like a charm.
Cali, that last sentence stopped my breath for a few seconds. And I feel my tear ducts prickling as I read it again. Thank you, Universe, indeed. For you and the Snork and your family getting to experience this. Just beautiful.
Can’t say I’m responsible for all the hits coming to your site today, but I own up to approx 10,267 of them.

YAY!
Hey, just saw fascinating research on Alzheimer’s and how the human memory works on PBS last night. Have you seen some of this stuff?
They showed how a good, active nursing home community can actually be really beneficial for Alzheimer’s patients, and help them keep more of their personality and memory. It was a joy to watch them.
Now I totally want a burrito. And a pedicure!
Blessings to you and Snork too. After years of silence, I have to delurk to tell you how excited I am for you and your family!
