The pregnant man is fine with me; It’s a little odd but so is my husband’s refusal to wear clothing with any sort of insignia or brand name on it whatsoever. Do you know how difficult it is to find completely anonymous clothing in this day and age? It’s like the search for the Holy Grail, only less religious and with more swearing.
As for heartburn, acid reflux and that kind of malady, take a Tums (I think they’re okay for pregnant persons, but check to make sure) and if you can wait before lying down to sleep, do so. Sitting upright helps prevent the digestive acids from rolling back up your esophagus. If you MUST lie down, prop a pillow under your neck and shoulders. That should help.
Heartburn gets worse as pregnancy advances because the baby is pushing your stomach up into your chest cavity. Isn’t that fun!

I saw sisterhood in the theater. It wasn’t theater worthy but I’m an Alexis Ble.del fan from Gil.more Grrrlz. I wouldn’t be ashamed.

Thanks for taking on the transphobia. I hadn’t read the comments until I read this post, but some people were definitely out of line. I think it’s more ignorance than people coming from a truly hateful place, but without people calling them on it (you and others in the comments), no one will learn.

I had sex and got pregnant. But! I am not having sex anymore if that makes a difference. In fact, I’d rather pay for my husband to have sex with someone else than have sex with him at this point. I have NO mojo. NONE. Yuck.

Sisterhood is a good movie. But the books–there are four of them–are AMAZING! I feel ashamed for saying so what with my swank top-five program MFA in Creative Writing; I wanted to die when I went to B and N to get the second two books and they directed me to the “teen fiction” section *blush* but it was soooo worth it.

I wouldn’t be embarrassed at all about the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. It’s a wonderful movie about girls and friendship. Aside from the whole pants bit, their stories are very real. I think you’ll like it.

LOL if your heartburn is like mine it doesn’t matter what you eat… or don’t eat… I get heartburn like it’s my job. Nothing works except massive amounts of pepcid. Congrats on the cold weather, it’s so nice when you don’t get it very often.
