Hopefully all of you are fervent readers of the best sunshiny blogs ever: LOLCAT and LOLDOG
If this is your first time hearing about those sites you are totally in for a treat. I have literally had entire hours of shit moods erased just by one cleverly captioned photo. My Mother actually uses the LOLCAT site as a sort of work day funk car wash. She doesn’t really talk until she has logged on to her home computer and gotten her chuckle on. It makes me laugh hearing her giggle behind the hum of her little mac (it’s a mini!) and I usually can be heard begging to know, “which one? which one?????” And she will reply, and I will concur that yes, that is the funny.
Which brings us to yesterday afternoon. Mother returned home early from jury selection duty (guess who got picked) with a big box that contained GM’s new fancy, “I’m 80+ and I get to have an old folks toilet seat” contraption. (seriously- this thing is FANCY! Put it on your wish-lists now and when you are 80+ treat yourself!)
Charlie was so happy to have a change of routine that he began running laps around the house and wiping out on the slick kitchen floor. We called for him to sit in GM’s chair and he agreed, but then he saw that the leap from GM’s chair to the top of the sofa was totally doable. And he leaped! And made a fantastic landing. Seeing as how the back of the sofa is also sort of the beginning of my work space I was able to grab my camera and get a cute shot of him doing his, “huh?” face.
And then Talula discovered the box. She was in cat heaven for ages. And then, just as swiftly, she didn’t give a shit about the box and abandoned it. Charlie felt like he might want the box. I mean the cat was totally digging it, so why wouldn’t he? So he walked in, head first and sort of plopped down. I grabbed my camera and got him to turn around for a fun photo op.
But as soon as I got my lens cap off you know who came back to reclaim her box.
So now I submit to you the following photos for you to caption. Who knows, if we can land on something clever enough we can submit it to one of the sites.

Those sites are the best way I know to sort out whether you are a cat person or a dog person. I’ve looked at Loldogs before and it doesn’t raise a chuckle. But Lolcats is a daily must, although I thought it was completely retarded when i first saw it.
I dunno, cats just have funnier little faces, I think.

Hey, you know you can mock some up with the lolcat builder, right? It’s easy to find on their site – I assume the dog place as one, too.
The year cho-girl and I discovered lolcats, we spent the whole spring whispering captions to each other about what the children were doing. Montessori speak + lolcat speak = AWSOME.
