When someone who is starved for creative energy suddenly finds themselves swimming in it, lots of great things happen. In the past few days I have worked on 7 header art images. Most are first drafts, but some are close to being signed off on. And I have a list of more waiting for me.
How frecking cool is that? I am so insanely happy to be dabbling in creative stuff again that it has changed my entire self worth. These past few weeks of illness and then fatigue and then sluggishness have taken a toll on me. I have been wearing the same clothes for days on end, haven’t combed my hair in ages, and basically have been coasting through the world wondering if I will ever get any pep back. Crazy how a stomach virus can completely timber cut your world.
But now I am getting inspired and feeling creative and that is huge for me. Huge.
Ever since I was a wee freckled faced, buck-toothed girl I have been involved in or with creative endeavors. Whether it was the show-stopping tap dance solo in “Anchors Away” at the beautiful age of 5 or the children’s theatre starting in eighth grade I was always immersed in the arts. Oddly enough my creative energy dimmed once I moved to L.A. and found myself working for creative people as opposed to with. And even then I eventually used that need to be creative to nurture a budding love for photography.
So this moment of header art frenzy is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks to all of you guys that put in orders. You are feeding my soul with good stuffs.

I’m with you. When I’m bummed/sad/whatever the best medicine is to HAVE A BIG PROJECT to do. It helps to burn off some of that bad energy.
