Grandmother’s delight:

Crazy busy (but really good) day with GM. She had a check up with her doctor earlier this week and we adjusted some of her meds and holy cow can we tell the difference. She is not as sleepy during the day, hardly agitated at all, and so much more what I like to think of as herself. Who knows what tomorrow will bring, but I thank heavens for a good day.

This afternoon I had on the Ellen Show as I was doing some chores and GM was glued to the tv.  I heard her laughing and so I came out to join her and saw one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time. So of course I had to see if a version of it was on-line and, well, of course it was. And now you can have yourself a laugh and imagine GM slapping the arms of her recliner and giggling.

    Haha… that last girl’s face as she’s putting on the strap is hilarious. And I love Ellen’s laugh. My mom just sent me the one with the Hawaii Chair — did you see that one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHiqVygN-w0 As soon as she starts laughing like that it’s hard to stop.

    OMG - i saw ellen show the original japanese version and was HOWLING and then saw this episode a few weeks ago of her rendition. TOO FUNNY!!! ohhh cali, you made my day (or night. or morning.) put it this way… i needed some relief from a lot of crap and seriousness and it is 2am and this did it!!!

    I second (third) the joy of the original Japanese version. Seeing American woman make a fool of themselves for marshmallows is one thing, Japanese men doing it brings the funny to a whole other level.
